B05- Social Media Activism and Advocacy
Social Media is more accessible then ever before but there are still limits regarding keeping everyone connected with just how much media is out there. One way to keep a larger range of people in the loop of popular workouts is through gym classes, most gyms have scheduled workout classes, following an instructor for exercises like yoga, Pilates, swim aerobics, and much more. Guided workout classes can include consumers who do not frequent medias like TikTok and Instagram that provide new and innovative workouts. An instructors are able to look at new and popular workouts to incorporate into their classes, providing their clients with new and exciting workouts while simultaneously providing social media access for clients.
Another way for keeping people connected with new workouts is with personal trainers, in a similar regard to instructors of guided workouts, personal trainers provide workouts and assistance to clients, as the trainer learns more about the clients experience and goals they are able to use media to discover different workouts and strategies to help the client reach their goal.
Social Media is so present in out everyday lives that it affects a majority of the things around us, the way advertisements are shown, the way we perceive certain thing sin public, even how we interact with each other. Media and technology faced many advancements due to COVID-19 and thus expedited access all around the world. Internet access was made free in many places for one of the first times ever, this also opened the doors to hybrid work which provided opportunities for people with disabilities to get equal accommodations, these successes were seen in media with the positive reaction to having the options to continue hybrid work.
